Why raising interest rates isn't as easy as it sounds

This year, December likely also means a long-awaited interest rate hike. It is widely expected that the Federal Reserve will raise rates at its policy meeting later this month, from a range of 0-to-0.25 percent to 0.25-to-0.50 percent. This, despite the small absolute change, is actually a pretty big deal. It would end the long experiment with rock bottom interest rates that started in 2008. And it would represent the first monetary policy tightening in nearly 10 years. Millions of Americans will be affected. Car loans will get more expensive. Mortgage rates will rise. Floating rates on credit cards and home equity loans will rise. Pakistani Places that Look Like as if They are From Other Planet

Pakistan is one of the most beautiful countries in the world when it comes to natural views and landscapes. It has almost everything a tourist wants to see, landscapes, mountains, glaciers, historical and ancient places, forts and castles etc. Everyone of them have their own charm, but some of them, at times, look so mysterious that they look as if they are not from Pakistan, even not from planet earth, and look like as if they are from some other planet. If you believe in fairy tales and fantasy worlds, you will relate these images to those dreamy fantasy worlds. These all are actually places in Pakistan.

47 As in O, A levels: Pakistani student beats world record

ISLAMABAD: A Pakistani student, Haroon Tariq, has broken the current world record by securing a total of 47 As in his International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) O Level and A Level exams from the University of Cambridge International Examinations. His subjects spanned both the humanities and sciences including Human and Social Biology, Islamic Religion and Culture, Physics, Chemistry and Global Development. A student of Froebel’s International School (FIS), Haroon Tariq’s achievement had put Pakistan in the global spotlight. In the O Levels, the previous world record was 28 As which was also held by a Pakistani student Zohaib Asad. However, Haroon Tariq obtained 38 As in O levels and a total of 47As in his O and A level exams. While talking to Dawn, Haroon Tariq said he studied 50 different subjects in O and A levels during the span of three years. He said obtaining 47 As was not easy as he had to study different languages including Spanish and French. ...
