Whenever someone say 'Baluchistan', an image that comes in a mind is basically a desert, camels, and nothing else. But once you would see these beaches of Balochistan, you would visualize this province a very different way next time. These naturally preserved beaches, i.e. local authorities have done almost nothing to make attractive or worth tourism, yet they look so beautiful and mesmerizing. Next time, when you would visit deserts of Balochistan, do visit these beaches. Mortal as I am, I know that I am born for a day. But when I follow at my pleasure the serried multitude of the stars in their circular course, my feet no longer touch the earth . -Ptolemy, c.150 AD About a month ago I went with the petrol-heads at Pakwheels on a road trip into Balochistan. They are a group of car enthusiasts that go exploring around the country in their trusted SUV’s. I soon learnt that on this particular trip, we would also be joined by some members of the  Karachi Astronomers Society  and that the purpose of this particular trip was to explore a new location for stargazing.
