Advanced Pond Filtration

In order for your garden pond to function properly you will need a pond filter. The pond filters in our kits are designed to be the very finest in the industry and are constructed out of heavy duty materials to ensure years of reliable use.

Mechanical Pond Filtration
Included in every pond kit is a stainless steel mechanical pond filter. The filter is constructed of 316 surgical grade stainless steel and features a fine mesh to catch any potentially damaging debris or string algae. Water is swept through the pond skimmer and into the mechanical pond filter where it is kept until the filter is cleaned. Cleaning the mechanical pond filter is pretty simple, smiply open the access cap, pull the filter out by the handle, hose it off and replace. To perform an even deeper clean the mesh basket can be removed from the handle by removing a bolt on the bottom. Different mesh sizes are avaliable to customize your garden pond filter to the debris falling into your pond.

Biological Pond Filtration (bio-filter)
The Oasis series pond kits feature a BioCurtain biological filter (bio-filter) in addition to the mechanical pond filter. Placed on either side of the filter carriage, the BioCurtain provides a large surface area for colonizing beneficial bacteria to reduce ammonia toxins from fish waste and fish food. The stainless steel hanger positions on the Filter Tank rim providing easy removal and cleaning of the poly-flow filter media.

UV Pond Filtration
Our pond kits also provide you with the option of adding a UV Pond Filter to your system. The UV Filter is effective in eliminating single cell algae (responsible for light green water often found in garden ponds) from your pond and is easily installed in-line with the pipe that returns the water back up to your waterfall.
