Taliban threaten 45 persons on disobedience in Swat

MINGORA: Local Taliban, belonging to a banned outfit, have threatened to take strict action against forty-five persons in Swat whom they alleged of disobedience on Sunday.

Local Taliban released a list carrying names of 45 persons, who allegedly denied to be presented before religious courts held by Taliban, Muslim Khan, a local Taliban spokesman, phoned JUI chief Molana Fazlul Rehman from anonymous place informing about the list.

He also said, the politicians named in the list, could be pardoned in case they appear before the Taliban-administrated religious courts to seek forgiveness.

Muslim Khan maintained no local resident would be harmed meanwhile, he also announced safe passage for those who migrated from Swat due to instability in the area.

The list includes national and provincial ministers, member national and provincial assemblies, senior politicians, and other activists of political parties.

Some five political parties' workers have been placed in the list including ANP, PPP Parliamentarian, PP Sherpao, PML-Q and JUI-F.

Taliban also announced amnesty for all other politicians as well as common people besides those named in the list.
