"Starpath": a bike path that illuminates a park through solar energy

Share on email At first glance, "Starpath" seems to be an urban park mounted on Christ's Pieces in Cambridge, England.  However, this is the first bike in the world that benefits through the materials with which it was made, not only cyclists, but pedestrians, the environment and the municipality where it is located.   More details to follow. The main element that makes up the "Starpath" is a liquid applied on its surface which, during the day, absorbs UV rays and at night, emits light.  One of the creators of this idea, Hamish Scott, Office  Pro-Teq  , explains that this bike works as if it had "  a mind of its own "because the intensity of light changes depending on the levels of natural light available in the environment.  Thus, the more intense glow is emitted during the night when there is less natural light.
