The Secrets of an Accepted Dua

Image
(+FREE dua diary) By   Guest Writer  -   February 18, 2017   by Rayeesa Tabassum (in collaboration with Team AYEINA) الدعاء هو العبادة‏   The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Du’a (supplication) is worship.” [ Abu Dawud ] Dua – a beautiful word for “supplication” in Arabic. Its root words are  د ع و   (  Dal-Ayn-Waw  ) which means to seek, desire, ask, demand, call upon, invoke, ascribe, cry out, call out to, pray, supplicate etc. It is a powerful weapon of the believer. If his/her dua gets accepted, there’s khair in it. If it doesn’t get accepted, it could either be a source of source of salvation in the hereafter or a way to ward off evil from you. In short, dua can result in the following: 1)  Allah will answer immediately. 2) Allah will postpone it for a better time and we’ll be rewarded for the patience in shaa Allah. 3) It will be rejected because Allah knows what’s bes...

What non-Muslim scholars said about Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him)

Nepolean Bonaparte – Quoted in Christian Cherfils BONAPARTE ET ISLAM (PARIS  1914) “I hope the time is not far off when I shall be able to unite all the wise and educated men of all the countries and establish a uniform regime based on the principles of Qur'an which alone are true and which alone can lead men to happiness.” M.K.Gandhi, YOUNG INDIA, 1924 "...I became more than ever convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the prophet, the scrupulous regard for his pledges, his intense devotion to his friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and his own mission. These, and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every trouble." YOUNG INDIA, 1924 Lamartine - Histoire de la Turquie, Paris 1854, Vol II, pp. 276-77: "If greatness of purpose, smallness of means, and astounding r...

Lens Focal Length & F-Stop

Image
Lens Focal Length & F-Stop Focal Length and F Stop are basic indicators of lens performance Focal Length affects magnification and angle of view, while F-stop affects brightness While a wide variety of lenses are available, they are broadly grouped by focal length and F-stop. Lenses with short focal lengths will have a wide angle of view, while longer focal length lenses will have stronger magnification, creating what is called a telephoto lens. The F-stop value shows how bright the lens is, i.e., how much light will pass through it when the aperture is opened to its maximum. The smaller the aperture value, the brighter the lens. A brighter lens gives a photographer more freedom in a variety of situations. What is Focal Length? Focal length is the distance from the center of the lens to the imaging point (focal plane) where the light for the image is collected. When a lens is described as a "50mm lens," it is referring to its focal length. Different foc...

I am going to introduce to you one of my favorite shops here in Tokyo and it’s no other than  Fujiya Camera ! We moved to this neighborhood just because I want to be able to come here often.  Fujiya Camera  is considered by many to be the best camera shop here in Tokyo when it comes to used equipment and service. They are only rivaled by another shop but  Fujiya Camera  is always ahead because their prices are cheaper. For travelers, you can avail of the 8% discount because you don’t have to pay VAT, just show your passport at the counter and they will know what to do. They also accept credit cards and installments. I was tempted to buy a  Nikon D850  here because they have a 72-month 0% installment plan! Good thing I got cheap and skipped. This is the ...
